Just bought a knife from this shop. Shown here is the new sign and the old sign from centuries ago. This shop has been making knives for 416 years! The shop owner etched my name into the knife while we were there

The knife shopping continued at Aritsugu knife shop in the Nishiki Market. Kyoto has a much quieter vibe than either Osaka or Tokyo; this was a great day trip to relax and well buy some knives. We even came across an owl petting shop.
